Prediction results

A few weeks on, let's have a look back at the results of my earlier predictions.

The island will be split by a war between freighteries and pretty much everyone else.

TRUE

We will see Walt again on the island.

SEMI-TRUE - we saw him again, but in Hurley's flashforward.

Sayid, Desmond and Michael will take over the freighter. Michael will die in the process.

SEMI-TRUE - they effectively took over the freighter, but by peaceful means once Keamy and his men had gone. Michael died, but not in this process.

Penelope Widmore will arrive on the island to rescue Desmond.

TRUE

Similarly to shutting down the Tempest, the freighteries will attempt to "shut down" the monster.

FALSE

This attempt will be stopped by Locke, Ben and Jacob.

FALSE - although the trio did work together to stop Keamy's men.

The freighteries will start a hunt for Ben Linus, killing Claire in the process.

PROBABLY TRUE - they did start the hunt for Ben, and seeing as Claire appeared to Kate in a flashforward (which so far only dead people have done), I assume Claire has died.

The monster will kill all the freighteries.

PRETTY MUCH TRUE - it killed most of them

Penny and her team will save Des and the Oceanic 6, but Kate will have to choose who out of Jack and Sawyer to take with her.

SEMI-TRUE - The O6 were rescued by Penny, and Sawyer was sacrificed in order to save them, but not by Kate's choice.

There will be some mysterious events happening.

Demond will make an appearance.

TRUE

Jack will be seen wearing a shirt.

TRUE

Sayid will fix some shit.

TRUE

Paolo Maldini will have a fight against the monster and win.

TRUE - it happened on the other side of the island - have you been wondering where Smokey's been since 4x09?
